The Montréal Impact and Orlando City SC meet for the second time this season in a key Eastern Conference clash for both clubs on Saturday evening at Stade Saputo. The Impact saw their two-game winning run put to an end last weekend, dropping a 3-1 decision to New York City FC on the road. Orlando City have pulled themselves back into a playoff position and to the .500 mark overall, riding a five-game undefeated streak following their 1-0 home win vs. East leaders D.C. United last Sunday at the Citrus Bowl.
- The Impact had their two-game winning run in league play put to an end last weekend, dropping a 3-1 decision at New York City FC at Yankee Stadium.
- Orlando City SC have won back-to-back games for the first time ever in MLS, and extended their current undefeated run to five games, following their 1-0 win against D.C. United on Sunday evening at the Citrus Bowl.
- Kaká scored his seventh goal of the season – tied for third in the MLS Golden Boot standings – netting the only goal in the win vs. D.C. United, putting in a rebound of his own saved penalty kick. Four of Kaká’s seven MLS goals have come directly from penalty kicks, with another from a free kick.
- The teams are meeting for the second time this season. Ignacio Piatti and Jack McInerney staked the Impact to a lead before the game was a half-hour old, but Pedro Ribeiro and Kaká answered back with goals a minute apart in the first half to leave the teams in a 2-2 draw March 14 at Olympic Stadium.

- The Impact took the lead 14 minutes in. After referee Ted Unkel pointed to the spot when Sean St. Ledger was adjudged to have handled in the box, Ignacio Piatti stepped up and squeezed his shot under goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts as he dove to his left.
- The lead was in the 27th minute. Jack McInerney chased Orlando City defender Seb Hines, who tried to head back a long ball, but McInerney reached the ball before a City teammate. Seeing Ricketts out of position, McInerney looped the ball high over Ricketts and into the empty net.
