One of the oldest rivalries in Major League Soccer takes center stage on MLS Soccer Sunday as D.C. United play host to the New England Revolution at RFK Stadium before an ESPN2 audience. United have lost back-to-back league games for the first time this season, following their 1-0 defeat by Orlando City SC at the Citrus Bowl last weekend. The Revolution put an end to a six-game winless run in their last league game, a 2-0 victory against the Chicago Fire last Saturday at Gillette Stadium. The teams played to a 1-1 draw earlier this season in Foxborough.

• D.C. United have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season in league play, following their 1-0 defeat at Orlando City SC on Sunday evening.
• The Revolution put an end to their six-game winless streak with their first victory since May 2, Diego Fagundez hitting an absolute gólazo in a 2-0 win against the Chicago Fire on Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium.
• The teams are meeting for the second time this season. Jairo Arrieta’s late equalizer for United canceled out a first-half goal from the Revolution’s Charlie Davies to leave the teams in a 1-1 draw May 23 at Gillette Stadium.
• United lead the all-time series with 29 victories; the Revolution have won 26, with 10 draws. United have also won two of the three series all-time in the MLS Cup Playoffs. The teams split their season series a year ago, each club winning at home.

• The Revolution took the lead in first-half stoppage time. From a corner kick, Juan Agudelo made solid contact in the air with a header and United goalkeeper Bill Hamid stopped the point-blank effort. But Charlie Davies was on the scene to clean up the rebound from close range.
• Things then changed very quickly after the second-half restart. In the 52nd minute, Chris Tierney, in an attempt to challenge for a 50/50 ball, went studs first into the knee of Chris Pontius, drawing a straight red card from referee Mark Geiger. Then just six minutes later, Lee Nguyen received a second yellow card after making contact with the head of D.C. United's Davy Arnaud in a tussle for the ball.
• Up two men, United finally broke through in the 80th minute. D.C. substitute Taylor Kemp slid a pass across the box from the left flank and Jairo Arrieta ran onto it at the near post, ushering it home for the equalizer.
