- The Red Bulls suffered their fourth consecutive MLS defeat, dropping a 2-1 decision to Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday evening at Red Bull Arena. It’s the longest losing streak for the Red Bulls in five seasons, since dropping four in a row May 8-29, 2010.
- Sebastian Jaime scored the first goal of his MLS career, hitting for the opener as RSL put an end to a three-game league winless slide with a 2-1 win against Sporting Kansas City on Sunday evening at Rio Tinto Stadium.
- When the Red Bulls won 4-3 on July 27, 2013 at Red Bull Arena, it was their first defeat of Real Salt Lake ever in Harrison. The Red Bulls had won one of the two previous encounters at Red Bull Arena, with one draw. RSL never won at Giants Stadium with New York winning three meetings there, with two draws.
- The Red Bulls have never won in league play at Salt Lake. Real have won four of the nine regular season meetings all-time in Utah, with five draws. But the Red Bulls did claim the Western Conference Championship in 2008, a 1-0 victory in Sandy.
