The Rapids won for the first time in a record 18 matches, scoring their first goals of the season in a 4-0 victory at FC Dallas last weekend. Sounders FC remain on the road, having started their two-game road swing with a 1-0 defeat at the LA Galaxy last Sunday.
  • The Rapids broke out in a big way for their first victory Friday, a 4-0 win at FC Dallas. It was the Rapids’ first goal of the season, ending a 362-minute scoreless streak to start the season, the second-longest in MLS history. It was the first Colorado goal since last October 11, their first in league play in more than 10 hours of action.
  • The victory also put an end to the Rapids’ MLS-record winless streak of18 games, which equaled the league mark set by Real Salt Lake in 2005-06.
  • Sounders FC went down to their second defeat of the season, falling1-0 at the LA Galaxy on Sunday evening. They still have yet to score a goal away from CenturyLink Field this season.
  • Sounders FC won all three meetings between the teams a year ago, including a pair of 4-1 victories, one on April 26 at CenturyLink Field, and one Oct. 5 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
