En la reunión anterior, el Consejo Profesional había fijado el superclásico para este domingo a las 17:00, pero aclarando siempre que se podía modificar. Finalmente hoy los representantes de los clubes y  la televisión, decidieron adelantar el juego media hora y se disputará finalmente a las 16:30 en Sajonia.

La jornada 17 se abre el viernes 1 de mayo con el duelo entre Rubio Ñu y Sportivo Luqueño en La Arboleda, desde las 18:00. Otro cotejo importante de esta fecha será el duelo entre Guaraní y Libertad, que medirán fuerzas el sábado a las 19:10 en el Rogelio Livieres de Dos Bocas.

Con un tiempo para cada equipo, Rubio Ñú y Luqueño empataron 1 a 1 en el partido que abrió la decimoséptima jornada del torneo Apertura paraguayo disputado este viernes en La Arboleda con arbitraje de Federico Ríos.

Ambos conjuntos llegaban a este encuentro tras igualar 2 a 2 en la jornada anterior: los de Miguel Pavani ante Deportivo Capiatá y los de Eduardo Rivera frente a Deportivo Santaní.

Sportivo Luqueño generó las mejores situaciones en el primer tiempo pero debió esperar hasta los 32 minutos para ponerse en ventaja cuando Jorge Ortega recibió en el área y pudo vencer al portero Blas Valenzuela quien antes había tenido tapadas importantes para mantener el marcador en blanco.

Los auriazules siguieron comandando las acciones en el segundo tiempo hasta que una jugada por la izquierda de Nery Cardozo, quien envió un centro al área, concluyó con un cabezazo del argentino Maximiliano Lugo para poner la igualdad sobre el minuto 68. El gol de Lugo despertó a los locales que volvieron a tener situaciones como para llevarse la victoria en los últimos minutos.

Tras este nuevo empate Rubio Ñú suma 15 puntos y sigue sin poder moverse de la zona de descenso, mientras que Luqueño se mantiene en el sexto lugar de las posiciones con 24 unidades.

En la próxima fecha -decimooctava- Rubio Ñú enfrentará a General Diaz y Sportivo Luqueño a Sol de América.

• RSL saw its scoreless streak extended to 316 minutes in a 4-0 loss at the New England Revolution on Saturday evening. It’s the second-longest stretch without a goal for any team in MLS and the fourth-longest such run in RSL club history; the defeat was the biggest for RSL since a 4-0 loss at Seattle Sounders FC last May 31.
• The Quakes return to action after a weekend off, their last match a 2-0 loss at the New York Red Bulls on April 17, a second consecutive defeat away from Avaya Stadium.
• The teams are meeting for the second time this season. Javier Morales scored the game’s lone goal just before halftime to lead RSL to a victory April 5 at Avaya Stadium.
• The Quakes have won on two of their last four trips to Rio Tinto Stadium, but RSL won 2-0 on Oct. 11 of last year in Sandy, the only meeting of the year at their home ground. The Quakes haven’t defeated RSL at home since the final meeting in 2012, a 5-0 San Jose victory that is the largest win in the all-time series.

• Brad Davis recorded a pair of assists – and is now third all-time in assists in MLS with 115 for his league career – as the Dynamo reached a 4-4 draw with Sporting Kansas City on Saturday evening at BBVA Compass Stadium. It was the 22nd multiple-assist game of his MLS career, now fourth on the all-time list.

• Mauro Diaz netted his first goal of the season as FC Dallas kept pace with a 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids on the road.

• FC Dallas have won the last two meetings between the teams over the last two seasons, winning 4-1 on April 5 of last year at BBVA Compass Stadium. It was just the second win all-time for FCD in Houston in 13 meetings in all competitions, the first since 2010.

• The clubs play for “El Capitán”, the 19th-century Mountain Howitzer cannon to be awarded to the winner of the season series by supporters groups for both clubs. This will be first year since 2011 the series will include more than one meeting during the regular season, with both clubs now in the Western Conference.

It’s the first meeting for "El Capitan" this season as the Texas Derby kicks off when the Houston Dynamo play host to FC Dallas on Viernes de Fútbol at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Dynamo made it three games in a row without loss last time out, ending in a wild 4-4 draw with Sporting Kansas City on their home ground. SAN SEBASTIÁN/VALENCIA (EFE) - La Real Sociedad, tras su valioso empate en Bilbao que ha recargado las pilas de sus jugadores y con el valor añadido de la vuelta del mexicano Carlos vela, tratará de confirmar esos progresos en la visita de un Levante que rara vez se marcha de vacío de Anoeta y que si gana puede dejar muy encarrilada la permanencia.

Los donostiarras, situados en una tierra de nadie, quieren agradar a su afición en los dos últimos partidos que les quedan en casa esta temporada y lo harán con la satisfacción del deber cumplido en el derbi vasco contra el Athletic, algo que siempre motiva a sus seguidores.

Después de un fútbol ramplón y sin juego que ha derivado en una escasa puntuación en las últimas fechas, la vuelta del mexicano Carlos Vela permite atisbar una nueva Real en el tramo final de la temporada.

Los guipuzcoanos sólo han sumado cuatro de los dieciocho últimos puntos en juego, pero las sensaciones de San Mamés Barria, con Vela y David Zurutuza exhibiendo un fútbol brillante, confieren la condición de favoritos a los vascos en este encuentro.

Ese buen juego en el derbi hará que seguramente se consolide el equipo titular con escasos cambios, ya que ofreció quizás su mejor fútbol de los últimos meses, con la baja segura de Mikel González, sancionado tras su expulsión en Bilbao.

La plaza del defensa guipuzcoano puede ser para Ansotegi o Gorka Elustondo y, si no hay sorpresa, algo que no puede descartarse con David Moyes, la Real podría jugar sin un nueve claro, con cuatro jugadores versátiles y rápidos arriba.

El Levante viaja a San Sebastián en su mejor momento del curso, después de dos victorias seguidas en las que, además, no ha recibido ningún gol, y con una ventaja de seis puntos respecto a la zona de descenso a Segunda división.

El entrenador del Levante, Lucas Alcaraz, recupera para este partido a Toño García, sancionado por acumulación de cartulinas amarillas en la pasada jornada, tiene la baja por lesión de Pape Diop, con un esguince de tobillo, y confirmará la convocatoria tras el último entrenamiento del equipo esta tarde en el estadio Ciutat de Valencia.

Alcaraz apenas va a dirigir dos sesiones de entrenamiento entre el partido del pasado martes frente al Córdoba y el de mañana ante la Real Sociedad y podría dar descanso a Momo Sissoko en el centro del campo, por lo que José Mari actúe como titular en su lugar.

Además, Toño volvería a la formación inicial en el lateral izquierdo de la defensa y, de este modo, Morales adelantaría su posición al centro del campo y el entrenador andaluz mantendría la defensa con cinco jugadores que tan buen rendimiento le dio en los partidos ante el Getafe y el Córdoba.

Para el ataque, Alcaraz contaría con los dos jugadores más en forma del equipo, pues entre los delanteros David Barral y Víctor Casadesús suman 18 goles que han permitido al Levante abandonar los puestos de descenso.
