Two teams with nearly the same point total but in very different places in their respective conferences meet for the first time ever as Real Salt Lake play host to Orlando City SC at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday evening. Real have 22 points on the year – but are sitting four points out of a playoff position in the Western Conference – following their 2-2 home draw with Columbus Crew SC last Saturday. Orlando City have one more point – but the expansion club sits in a tie for third place in the Eastern Conference – coming off a 2-0 home win against the Colorado Rapids last time out.

• Sebastian Jaime and Olmes Garcia each scored their second goals over the last three games, as Real Salt Lake made it six consecutive home games without a defeat at Rio Tinto Stadium with their 2-2 draw with Columbus Crew SC on Saturday evening.
• Orlando City SC return to action after winning for the third time in their last four MLS games, claiming a 2-0 home win against the Colorado Rapids on June 24 at the Citrus Bowl. It extended their home undefeated run to five matches.
• Kaká scored his fifth goal over the last seven matches in the OCSC win against Colorado. He now has eight goals in his first MLS season, sitting in a tie for third place in the MLS Golden Boot standings.
